No matter what your student ends up doing in the future, they will always encounter reading and writing. Whether it be reading rental/mortgage agreements, or writing resumes, building these skills now will set your student up for success wherever they go. Everything we do in my class is used to improve their skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language. The assignments and conversations they participate in not only allow them to improve these skills, but provokes meaningful thought which encourages academic and social-emotional growth.
