J. Patrick Lewis
He has served as the third national Children’s Poet Laureate from 2011-2013 and has written more than 50 books of poetry for children ranging in topics including mathematics, history, cemeteries, animals and folklore. He has been recognized for his work with the 2011 Poetry Award by National Council of Teachers of English and the 2004 Alice Louise Wood Memorial Prize by Ohioana.
