About Our Camp
The Ohio Northern University Summer Music Camp (ONU SMC) is designed for students in grades 7-12, and provides many performing and educational opportunities for musicians of every ability level.
Camp is held on the beautiful campus of Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. All rehearsals, classes, and performances are held in Presser Hall and the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.
Campers reside in air-conditioned rooms featuring private sleeping quarters and bathrooms.

Format
Campers come for the week to immerse themselves in learning and performing music. Students follow a daily schedule of classes and participate in ensemble(s) for their chosen musical focus.

ONU SMC is taught by professional musicians and music educators, including ONU Music Department Faculty and ONU alumni.

For over 50 years ONU SMC has been providing music opportunities and education for students as far away as Germany and as near as Ada, OH.
Students are challenged at their level in a safe environment where they can grow and excel in their musical abilities.
In addition to musical experience, we let kids be kids with fun summer activities that bond and foster new friendships! A healthy balance of music and fun.
