On The Right Mind
Visual facilitation & accompaniment | Strategic illustration
We are committed to helping create a better world by fostering understanding & connection:
to ourselves & our ideas, to others and their ideas and to the larger whole.
Beyond style & aesthetics, the value of our work rests on our deeply relational & strategic process.
We hold our partners work as critically important to build a sustainable, equitable and liberated world. Thus, we aim to create valuable visual tools that can effectively respond to a strategic need in compelling & accessible ways.
That's why our work is centered in building collaborative relationships with the people we partner with. Anchoring in process allows us be a strategic thought partner in ways that are supportive and clarifying, and it help us develop visuals that will move the work forward.
We invite you to think of us visual strategists!
Services
Our virtual engagements go beyond visualizing what is said in meetings. Our goal is to make something useful beyond the moment that can serve as an anchor and reference for further exploration and conversation.
We combine the grounded & focused listening of graphic recording during the meeting with the deeper sense-making approach of strategic illustration post-meeting to transform conversations into meaningful visual tools.
Our on-site graphic facilitation engagements are centered in supporting learning, connection and collective sense-making.
As such we seek to partner as co-facilitator to the design team and the "front of the room" facilitator(s). Here's why:
Our position as a "focused listening witness" gives us a different vantage point to be able to offer valuable insights that can support the adaptive nature of the agenda.
It helps us identify the best visual tools to support each of the agreed upon sessions and the gathering at-large. Ex: graphic recording, participatory templates, models, etc... (not all visuals are created equal (wink!))
It allows us to fine-tune our listening to not just capture what is said, but to distill & reflect what is needed to be seen to support both the front of the room facilitation and the group's journey.
This can take many forms depending on our partner's needs & dreams. From bringing to life a strategic plan that is already clear and articulated, to accompanying our partners through a process, where visuals are not just an output, but an integral part of the deepening and clarifying process. We bring our experience in visual thinking, coaching, strategic communications & deep listening to our collaboration to support you in the best way possible.
We are always happy to share more about this! Ask us.

Making complex information [ideas, content] clear & accessible
We believe in language accessibility and on de-centering English as the preferred language as one of the many vehicles of inclusion and transformation. As such we support language justice efforts in ways that we can.
We are able to provide visual support in Spanish and English. With the aid of language justice interpreters and translators, we can provide visuals in other languages that can be edited in post-production.
Please note that additional fees may be to hire the support of translators/ interpreters into other languages.

"Claudia is unique for the deep commitment to and knowledge of justice movements she brings to the work. Claudia is a true partner in all aspects of the creative and development process. When I work with her I feel like I have another justice partner, someone eager to make the intersection of art and social change come to life in the experience of grassroots folks. Claudia listens and contributes to the process with compassion, depth and wisdom. She is the BEST!"
-Lisa Anderson, Soujourner Truth Leadership Circle, Auburn Seminary
"My experience working with Claudia was incredible. Not only was she patient and understanding as timelines and needs shifted, but she was also a great thought partner. Throughout this process, she has gone out of her way to really deeply understand the content, so that it's visualization captures the nuances of the written content. She was helpful and shared her own insights, in terms of what might be more / less accessible, how to break up content, etc."
-Sandhya Nadadur, California Immigrant Policy Center
"Claudia is a gifted artist, healer, facilitator, and spirit worker all in one. Whether she is speaking or not she contributes powerfully to any facilitation team. In fact, she has gently helped us figure out what is needed in a room--and what might be useful from the facilitation team on multiple occasions. When working with other graphic facilitators, it can feel like they are off to the side providing visual documentation of what is being said. It has sometimes taken a fair amount of work to get the documentation into the context that is needed for new things to be possible. Claudia is tapped into the very spirit of what is going on. Her art instantly pulls people up to their best, most inspired selves. She helps communicate and move the energy, ideas, and essence of what is happening--often without saying a word. Claudia is more than a facilitator or someone who documents. She brings a wholeness to any project. "
