Homework Policy

Mathematics for March

As we’re preparing for the remainder of the quarter, we sent home materials that you may keep at home and practice in addition to homework that is assigned.

Enclosed in your child’s math folder you will find:

  • Computer Based Testing newsletter with 3 practice tests attached

  • Practice Review Booklet #2 (packet)

  • basic math facts booklet (for example: division, multiplication, or addition)

  • triangular multiplication flashcards, which can be used to practice division

  • Summer Math Packet

Please know that all of this doesn’t need to be completed at once. It’s considered as strengthening and maintaining skills. However, it would be beneficial to practice math facts and do one page from the Practice Review Booklet #2 or the Summer Math Packet each day.

So, whatever your child is able to finish from the Practice Review Booklet #2 (packet), the basic math facts booklet, or the Summer Math Packet will be taken as credit when it’s returned to school. Under the resources on my webpage I added the Summer Math Packet. This could be in addition to or used instead of the Practice Review Booklet #2.

Also, remember that we have online resources such as gregtangmath.com, math playground.com, timestables.com, and firstinmath.com (which is listed under "Clever").

Enclosed in the the folder that we sent home, you will also find math games that have been recommended by our AIS math team. Have fun!

Thank you for your support! Take care!
