Simulator Making Workshop
Simulator Making Workshop
For the past two years, our lab has supported the annual conference organized by the Canadian Undergraduate Surgical Education Committee (CUSEC), specifically we are supporting the skills development sessions during the Canadian Conference on Advancements in Surgical Education (C-CASE).
This year, the skills development sessions for C-CASE 2024 will be held in Toronto at Mount Sinai Hospital's Surgical Simulation Centre on October 18, 2024. For more details, please visit our website.
What?
We are offering 3 workshops where we will teach you how to make 3D-printed and silicone-molded simulators for use during C-CASE 2024. You will be able to choose which workshops you want to attend when you fill out the intake form below.
When?
1st workshop: Wednesday Jul 10, 2024; 10am - 3pm
2nd workshop: Wednesday Jul 31, 2024; 10am - 3pm
After the workshops, you may coordinate with one of our graduate students to access the laboratory and work independently on these simulators.
What's in it for you?
Certification of Completion: Receive a certificate to add to your CV upon completing the workshop.
Open Letter of Participation: Get a detailed letter outlining what you learned and your committed hours.
Skills Development Sessions at C-CASE 2024: We have secured two spots for students to attend the skills development sessions at C-CASE 2024. One spot will be awarded through a lottery among workshop participants, and the other will go to the most productive student.
In addition to these perks, you'll have the opportunity to use your creativity to help medical students and residents learn life-saving skills while enjoying the experience with us.
