Our aim is to foster a conference environment characterized by inclusivity, cooperation, respect, and safety. To achieve this, we anticipate all participants—attendees, presenters, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff—to demonstrate considerate and respectful conduct towards others, especially those with differing viewpoints or beliefs.
This includes:
Offensive or unwelcome behavior or language, such as discrimination based on race, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, age, disability, veteran or marital status, political affiliation, or similar categories.
Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning speech or actions.
Visual harassment, including the display of sexual or offensive images, including on clearly visible clothing.
Intimidation or bullying.
Possession of a weapon or anything that could be perceived as one during the event.
Recording slides or oral presentations without permission, as well as sharing presentations without consent.
Possession of illegal substances.
Disrupting sessions, discussions, or events inappropriately.
Making real or implied threats of physical, professional, or financial harm.
Any other illegal activity not mentioned above.
If you witness any inappropriate conduct, please communicate with a conference staff member by visiting the Registration Check-in area in the Premiere Lobby, located on the ground floor of the hotel.
Inappropriate conduct may result in immediate removal from any of the sessions or potential removal from entire conference itself.
Health and Safety
On Our Own of Maryland is continuing to follow the guidelines set by The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as it relates to COVID-19. Currently we are not requiring conference attendees to wear masks, but we ask that you respect the rights of others to do what they feel is appropriate.
Safety and Badge Requirements
For the security and safety of attendees, presenters, exhibitors, and guests, conference badges must be worn at all times.
Age Restriction
For safety reasons, conference attendees must be 18 or older.
Recording and Sharing of Presenter Materials
Attendees may not record or distribute presentations, materials, or discussions without explicit permission from the respective owners.
Logos
Attendees may not utilize the conference logo or OOOMD logo to promote products or services not authorized by OOOMD.
Personal Photography and Social Media
On Our Own of Maryland welcomes you to share photos of your experience at the conference on your own social media. Please note that, by doing so, you agree that OOOMD may utilize those photos/ videos, including resharing and reposting the material on our social media platforms.
