Go to the “Projects” tab.
Search for “Mug Design Setup” and select it.
Choose the appropriate mug size and edge effect (straight or wavy).
Click on “Customize” to open the design on your canvas.
Use the red mug guides to align your images or text within the safe area.
Add your desired images, text, or patterns. Remember, any design elements outside the blue box won’t transfer to your mug.
Once your design is complete, click the eyeball icon to hide the red mug guide layer.
Select all elements of your design and click “Attach” to keep them in place.
Click “Make It” and toggle the “Mirror” switch on (this is crucial for heat-transfer projects).
Follow the on-screen prompts to cut your design using Infusible Ink transfer sheets.
Place the transfer sheet ink-side up on a LightGrip or StandardGrip machine mat before cutting.
Clean the mug surface with an alcohol wipe and a lint roller to ensure it’s free of dust and oils.
Weed your design and peel off the transfer sheet with adhesive tabs.
Align and adhere the design to your mug.
Use the Cricut Mug Press to transfer your design onto the mug. Follow the pressing instructions provided in the Cricut Heat Guide.
Let the mug cool completely before handling. Once cooled, remove the transfer sheet to reveal your custom mug!
Blurry or Faded Designs: This could happen if the surface of the mug wasn’t clean. Use a lint roller to ensure the mug is free of dust and particles.
Uneven Transfers: Make sure that your design is firmly attached to the mug without any gaps or wrinkles. Secure it well with heat-resistant tape.
Design Peeling: If your design is peeling, it may be because the press was not set properly. Ensure that the Cricut Mug Press is heating the mug at the correct temperature and pressure.
