Completing the Options Form

There are two ways to complete your options form

• Use SIMS Parent App to complete your child's options form

  • If you do not currently have SIMS parent app, please contact the school by emailing us at QE2Enquiries@sch.im and we will email you the details of how to sign up

  • Instructions about how to complete the options form on SIMS Parent App can be found here

• Print off the Options Form and complete by hand

  • Please return this by either:

    • Delivering the form the reception just inside the main front door at the school

    • Posting the form to 

      • KS5 Options Forms, QEII High School, Douglas Road, Peel, IM5 1RD

  • Scan and email the completed form to qe2enquiries@sch.im

• PLEASE RETURN YOUR FORM BY FRIDAY 14th  MARCH 2025. 

How to complete your options form

• Place a number 1 to 3 against the 3 courses you would like to do in Years 12/13. Please number them in order of preference i.e.

1 = the subject you most want to do etc.

3 = your third preference

•  Please now put a 4 against one more subject. 

  • This will form your ‘reserve’ choice.

    • Most students take 3 subjects in 6th form. Some start with 4 subjects and reduce it to 3 after a few weeks of trying out 4 and a very small number of students take 4 subjects all the way through sixth form.

    • We build the Options Blocks to fit what the vast majority of students wish to study. Having a 4th/Reserve option means that (a) if you wish to take a 4th subject, hopefully you can and (b) if the Option Blocks we construct don't exactly fit your main 3 choices, we can hopefully allocate you to your reserve subject instead

  • Once all the data has been collected, we will will work with our collaboration partners at Ramsey Grammar School and Castle Rushen High School to assemble a series of option blocks which fit the choices of the vast majority of students who submit an options form

  • We intend to publish the final option blocks in May

  • Students make their final choices of what they wish to study when they enrol in for Year 12 in August 2025.
