How Can You Shoot a Recurve Bow?

Archery is a fun sport, but how can we learn it quickly enough? It is such a difficult sport that requires so much preparation, experience, and also a lot of perseverance and patience. It took many years to learn, and even more to master. It is so complex, and there are so many steps! If only a brave student from Island School could make a really easy-to-follow video on the simple and important parts of archery's fundamentals during your shots, with easy steps to remember and simple explanation, nothing too over the top, to help people learn quickly. I think I know a guy. I believe his name was Edward?

Remember, being safe around yourself and others is the most important part of archery. Remember to wear your equipment (such as fingersling, fingertab, etc) and your safety equipment (arm guard and chest guard) as shown here. Hold your index, thumb and middle finger to the string, then have your arrow placed under the clicker and on the arrow rest, slid forward and nocked. The clicker should be on the edge of the arrow. The bow arm must have the elbow facing directly in the direction your bow hand is, and the thumb and pinky have to be together. First, tighten your glutes, abs and your back muscles. Stand straight and keep a straight arm. Try to keep your heel off the ground, and adjust the sight pin carefully, without needing to rush. When aiming, line the sight pin and the string together directly on the area you want to shoot. Shoot the arrow. Follow through by pushing the bow hand to the direction the bow hand is (right hand to the right, left hand to the left), and release the stressed grip on the bow. As well as that, with your bowstring hand, pull it towards your neck and halt once reaching your fingertips.
