Members of the OSSD Board of Education are elected by citizens living inside the boundaries of the OSSD for four year terms. Members volunteer their time to the service of the school district.
University of Tennessee
Educators Hall of Honor
On March 31, 2022, Dr. Nancy Williamson was inducted into the University of Tennessee Educators Hall of Honor in recognition of her many years of service to public education in Tennessee.
Dr. Williamson is also a past president of the Tennessee School Boards Association and has served on the US Department of Education Regional Advisory Committee representing the Appalachian Region.
Dr. Williamson has served on the OSSD Board of Education since 2004.
