Priority Inbox is useful if you want Gmail to sort and prioritize your email for you. You can add additional categories to customize your inbox.
To configure your inbox, go to the top right, then click Settings
In the "Inbox type" section, select Priority Inbox
To customize priority inbox setting, click Customize
Choose the inbox sections you want to show or add labels as categories (Next to the inbox section you want to label, click Options > More options and choose the label you want to use)
