Can Zoom reports be used to accurately track attendance?

Yes & No.  You can use the Zoom reports to track meeting attendees, but be aware of potential issues/inaccuracies, such as students having an incorrect screen name.

Where can I safely post my Zoom meeting link?

Google Classroom, Seesaw, Clever to name a few.

Should I create a new meeting ID if it was shared with unintended participants?

Potentially 'yes.'  Updating or changing your Zoom meeting link after an 'incident' is never a bad idea.  Security features such as the Waiting Room are locked by the district, but even after changing your Zoom meeting link, you always have to careful who you admit into your Zoom meeting.

What do I do if an unintended participant(s) enters my Zoom meeting?

Remove them immediately.  If safety or security is an imminent threat, immediately ‘End the Meeting for All.’

Should students create their own account?

NO!  With their own account, students can create & invite others to their own Zoom meeting without supervision and there are also age restrictions (under 16 not permitted).

Can students be blocked on a District Chromebook from creating their own Zoom account?

No.

Can a ‘removed’ student be allowed back into the CURRENT Zoom session?

No, this feature is currently locked in the settings by the district for security.  However, students placed back in the Waiting Room may be admitted back into the meeting.

Can a ‘removed’ student join FUTURE Zoom sessions with the same recurring Meeting ID?

Yes.

Is the polling feature available within the Zoom Premium account?

Yes, but it must be turned on in your Zoom settings.

Is Google Meet supported by the district?

No, the district only supports Zoom at this time.

Are links posted in the chat box 'active' for students using Chromebooks?

No.  Students may copy & paste the link into a browser as an alternative (or it can simply be posted in Google Classroom).  LanSchool Air is an excellent way to quickly push a website out to all students.
