The Northwest Region was founded on April 20, 1996 when the FIRST entity in the region was established; Lambda Chapter at the University of Washington. Since its founding, the Northwest has grown to encompass 13 entities across 5 states. In 2019 at the National Conference in Portland, OR, the Northwest integrated entities from the Pacific Region after it was disbanded. In the Fall of 2021, the Northwest Region was rebranded as the Pacific Northwest Region - recognizing both the former and latter names used. Today, we continue to seek out opportunities to grow at our current entities and strengthen the relationship in our communities.
