Mrs Hiler

My goal is to inspire students to become well-rounded individuals through the art of music.  I will help students to grow in an inclusive environment through music education, and I want to provide them with a firm educational and experiential foundation which will serve them for the rest of their lives.

Meet Mrs hiler

Megan Hiler is the choir director and assistant marching band director at Ontario Local Schools. She most recently graduated from Heidelberg University in 2020 with a degree in Music Education and she is currently finishing up her Masters in Music Education from Ohio University.

Megan’s primary instrument is Trumpet, but she also enjoys playing piano and clarinet.  Through instrumental music Megan helped to restart the marching band in college under the direction of Jon Waters.  Vocally, Megan sings alto in choirs and currently sings in her church Choir.  Megan has even sung internationally when her Collegiate Concert Choir traveled to Budapest, Hungary and Prague, Czech Republic in 2019.

Megan lives on a few acre farm with her husband, Quinton, and their dog, Shelby.  Aside from music she loves nature, crafting, and animals.  You can even find her in a tractor helping her family farm from time to time!
