Religious Education Registration

New Families:

New families must be registered in our parish prior to enrolling in PREP. To register with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart parish, please contact the Parish Office at (215) 822-9224 or olsacredheart@gmail.com.

We will need a copy of the student’s Baptismal Certificate.  If the student was baptized here at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, we can verify that.  Please just provide us with a date.

If transferring from another parish, we will need a copy of the Penance Certificate (if possible), First Holy Communion Certificate, and proof of previous PREP attendance in addition to the student’s Baptismal Certificate.

All children begin PREP instruction in Level 1.  Children attending First Grade in the public school should register for PREP at that time to ensure that their child will be in class with their peers.

Please read the Parent & Participation Handbook prior to registering your children.

Complete the New Family PREP Registration Form.  Please read the bullet points below BEFORE completing this form.

• Please provide ALL family information at the time of registration - this includes BOTH parent names and contact information.

• Use "formal" FULL names for everyone (parents and children) on the registration form.  This is the information that is used to update the parish records and everything must match what is listed on the Baptismal Certificate.

• Emergency Contact - please provide the name and phone number of someone other than the parent(s) that we can call in the event that we CANNOT reach the parent(s).

• Include any medical information for your child, especially allergies.

• Include any learning support needs for your child - even if there is no formal IEP.  This information is extremely helpful to the catechists in planning their lessons and activities each week.

Once your registration is approved, you will receive a Welcome email from Parish Giving with log in information and will be able to pay your registration fees online via bank transfer or credit card.  Once the registration is paid in full, you will be able to choose the session for each student you are registering.

If you prefer to pay with a cash or a check, you can bring your payment to the office or mail it.  If coming to the building after hours, please put your check in an envelope marked PREP Registration and place it in the lockbox to the right of the door.

Registration Fees:

• • 1 Child = $250;   2 Children = $420;   3 or more Children = $525

  • $10 Discount if registered by July 31st

  • Registration includes all books and materials and must be paid in full in order to register.  

  • Sacramental Fees:  Grade 3 Students – Communion Retreat/Materials Fee: $25

Grade 7 Students - Confirmation Retreat/Materials & Gown Fee:  $75

Day Selection / Class Session:

• • Monday Afternoon   4:45-6:15 PM   (Grades 1 through 6)

  • Wednesday Evening   5:45-7:15 PM   (Grades 1 through 6)

  • Family Catechesis Program:   open to any students who are NOT in a sacrament year.  Visit the Family Catechesis page for more information on the requirements for this program BEFORE registering.
