Welcome to another amazing school year!

My name is Kelley Pierson, I am OLP's Social Worker and part of the administration team. I am very excited to begin another school year at OLP. I am lucky to have a wide variety of tasks. Some of my favorite include classroom lessons with all grades levels, lunch/recess duty, individual meetings with students, administrative duties, facilitating the CIT Team and TIPS program, and facilitating OLP's Leadership Team. This is my dream job, and I could not be happier to be here.

I received my Bachelors of Social Work from Avila University, and my Masters of Social Work from Kansas University. I specialize in child, adolescent, and family therapy, focusing on mental health issues, trauma informed care, grief, loss, and behavioral issues. I am extremely blessed to have worked in a wide variety of settings that has allowed me to continue to grow and learn professionally.

I live in Lee's Summit with my daughter Aleigha. I am a Kansas City native and enjoy all the city has to offer. I am a bit of a sports nut, and love supporting all our local teams. However, I will admit that Sporting KC and the Chiefs hold a special place in my heart. I am a huge animal lover, one of my all time favorite activities is feeding the buffalo and elk at Fleming Park. I also love reading, going to museums, spending time at the lake, and just being with my family and friends.

I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to be part of the OLP family. The love and support from the OLP staff, all the amazing students, and families is truly a blessing. Each day is a new adventure and I cannot wait to get this year's adventure started!
