Mrs. Sonderman

Welcome to second grade! My name is Sarah Sonderman.  I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year at OLP! This is my 23nd year of teaching.  My first 11 years were spent in the Blue Springs School District teaching special education in kindergarten and in the early childhood setting.  For 7 years, I taught part-time as a special instructor at The Marian Hope Center For Children’s Therapy as well as First Steps.  I taught first grade here at OLP for four years. This is my fifth year of teaching at OLP and my first year in second grade.   I stayed at home part-time with my own children 7 years prior to coming to OLP.  My two boys also attend OLP. My oldest son will be in fifth grade and my youngest son will be in fourth grade.  

I have been married to my husband, Mark, for 13 years, and are parishioners here at OLP. We continue to grow in our faith each day as a family and it’s my absolute pleasure and joy to help bring your child closer to God daily. I am excited to witness and be a part of the amazing growth that will happen this year, academically and spiritually! I am especially excited to be a partner with you in preparing these precious children for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion! 

I thank you for entrusting your child to me and I greatly look forward to working together as a team this school year! May God bless the 2023-2024 school year!
