Filipino is like the English subject but in our Filipino language. Here, we learned about awiting bayan or folk songs. Filipino is learning about our heritage and our own form of grammar. Having different subjects on Filipino and English help ensure that we won't forget that we are born Filipino. One thing that makes us different as our nationality, and our nationality is Filipino, and we shouldn't.
