About your teacher

Mrs. Mary Ryan has been teaching at Our Lady of Mercy since 1993. She graduated from Mount St. Joseph College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She has also taught third grade at Western Coventry School and Grades 1-6 at the International Primary School in Madrid, Spain. Mrs. Ryan loves the Wizard of Oz movie and enjoys using that theme as she decorates her classroom each year. She enjoys teaching with her Smart Board utilizing it in all subjects in the second grade curriculum. Outside of school she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with family, friends and her dogs, Jack and Bailey.
