Students are given time each day to copy down their homework, it is their responsibility to do so at this time. If they are out of the room for any reason, they are to make sure it is copied down before they leave for the day. I am happy to check a student's homework book if they ask me to.
All papers are passed out and the homework expectations are gone over together as a class. It is at this time that students are encouraged to ask questions, clarify their understanding, and make sure they have everything they need to complete the work. If they have questions at home, I encourage them first to try and figure it out on their own, get in touch with a friend, email me, and then ask for parent assistance.
Up until about mid October we take time, as a class, at the end of the day to pack up together. It is at this time we go over each book we will need to bring home with us. After this point, it is their responsibility to make sure they have what they need.
Our website Homework Page is used as a back-up and reference page for parents & students both in school and out sick.
