All About Mrs. Cox
I met my husband at Neshaminy High School. We are both educators and reside in Lower Bucks County.
I love the Phillies, in particular the Philly Phanatic! I even had the Phanatic at my wedding!
Within the four walls of my classroom, you will find plenty of Phillies decor and memorabilia.
Meet my fur baby, Guinness! He is about a four years old and is a blue nose pit bull. He has the most gorgeous blue eyes!
We recused him in February 2022. Guinness was found roaming the streets of Georgia and was shipped to PA to be placed in a loving home. We are so in love with him. He definitely keeps us on our toes!
Education & Experience
I am currently entering my 20th year of teaching, and my 16th year of teaching fourth grade! :) I have been employed by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 18 years. I have had the privilege to teach in several grade levels as well as have public and parochial school experience.
Not long after I graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College (now Gwynedd-Mercy University) in 2006, I was employed as a building substitute teacher in Bensalem School District gaining experience in many grade levels as well as the Arts and Special Education. After working in Bensalem for several years, I felt the need to enter a teaching environment where I could make a difference in the lives of children not only educationally but spiritually as well. The parochial schools fit just perfectly!
I began my parochial school experience at Saint Catherine of Sienna in Horsham, where I had the privilege of teaching physical education, second grade and then I finally made the move to fourth grade. I was fortunate to become apart of Our Lady of Mercy when the three legacy schools merged in 2012.
I have been married to my husband who is also an educator for overd a decade now and as you can see from the picture the Philly Phanatic was in fact at my wedding! I am an avid baseball and Phillies fan. I enjoy cooking or baking (as this seems to be quite a stress relief for me), gardening, spending time with family and friends, shopping, going to a Phillies game or two, listening to county music on the radio or attending a concert, spending time at the Jersey Shore, reading anything that I can about the Civil War (have family that fought for the 11th New Jersey Infantry at Gettysburg) or WWII (my grandfather fought in the Battle of the Bulge), attending high school football games (my husband is a high school varsity football coach at Council Rock South), and snuggling with our fur baby, Guinness! During the fall, my husband and I also volunteer teaching special needs children ages 8-18 how to play football. This progam is run by the Bucks County Mustangs Challenger program. We have been involved in this program for the past 4 years and throughly enjoy seeing the smiles on the kids faces each and every week!
Currently I reside in Lower Bucks County with my husband who is also a teacher, and our dog named Guinness, who is a rescue pitbull!
