THEME

Think about what happens when Mum or Dad tells you that dinner is ready – you can hear them asking you to wash your hands, feel the water and soap against your skin, smell what’s cooking, see your chair at the table and taste the food on your plate. You can do all of that thanks to your senses! Senses are very important as it helps us to understand what’s happening around us. Children grow and learn using their senses. To explain the importance of the sense organs, the introduction of Sense Organs was done in the class. The teacher explained about our sense organs and shared the role of each sense organ. As a part of the revision, a sensory activity was done using real objects where learners had an opportunity to have a first-hand experience of our senses.

ENGLISH

Stories foster a child's imagination. It sharpens their memory and makes learning easier and amusing. When a child listens to a story he catches different words and uses them in a real-life which helps in learning new words and developing vocabulary skills. Stories play a very important role in a child's development.

To develop the different skills amongst our learners, Nursery learners were introduced to the story- A thirsty crow during the virtual class. The teacher narrated the story and also played it on the screen. They enjoyed the storytelling session done by the teacher. The teacher then dramatized a part of the story of putting the pebbles into the glass. The learners were amazed to see it all. It was a great session.
