MATH

The learners learnt how to place the two-digit numbers in the house of tens and ones. They practised in class from numbers 1- 30 and continued till 50 as homework. This week the learners also learnt the concept of thick and thin. We played a scavenger hunt game where learners hunt for thick and thin objects around the house and then later share them with the class.

THEME

A family tree is a chart showing family relationships in a tree structure form.

Children often can't see past themselves and the little world that revolves around their day to day lives. This is natural. By creating a family tree can help them see where they fit in the world, where they come from, and their roots, and develop a sense of identity. They will learn about people they may not have realized existed.

So the teachers introduced the family tree by making a Family tree of their own family and showed them the diagram of three generations.

Then the learners were asked to draw a family tree of their family both Maternal and Paternal sides.

It was fun watching the kids working along with their moms and dads as they created their family tree.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

On 21st June 2021, we celebrated International Yoga Day. We discussed in class the importance of keeping ourselves healthy by eating healthy food, drinking water and exercising every day. We did deep breathings and focused on our breaths and sounds around us. Our learners did some flexible and calming yoga poses like cat-cow pose, boat pose, rock pose, tree pose, waterfall pose and so on.
