Time management

Effective time management allows students to complete more in less time, because their attention is focused and they're not wasting time on distractions. Efficient use of time also reduces stress, as students tick off items from their to-do lists. By using time efficiently, students can complete their work on time, stay engaged with their learning, and have more time free for pursuing activities that are important to them, such as sports, hobbies, youth group, and spending time with friends and family. It is important to remember that time is limited. When considering all the tasks to complete, break them down into sections by prioritizing and planning. Defining priorities helps to know what needs to or should get done. Talk with your child to help them understand the importance of each task and then develop a routine that will ensure enough time is set aside. Discuss these priorities and let them know that their schedule can be made to give them time to focus on these tasks. If your child is working remotely, a schedule that mimics the school day can be beneficial in maintaining a routine. Once you have an idea of what to focus on, create the schedule together with your child. Make this process fun! Time management for kids may seem like a challenge, but it is beneficial to establish this life skill early with them. Focusing on these steps when completing schoolwork is a great place to begin, as other tasks will likely fall into place throughout the process. Being able to manage time as a kid will help them feel less overwhelmed and in turn, make them feel more accomplished and confident in completing tasks throughout all areas of life.

Math

Math helps us understand the world around us by helping us figure out patterns. It assists us in building reasoning and problem-solving skills, and it even helps us make predictions about what will happen in the future. It is important to help young children develop their mathematical thinking. A child's math knowledge at the start of kindergarten predicts later academic achievement better than early reading or attention skills. Math is part of children's everyday lives.

Teaching basic shapes to kids helps them understand their observations. The visual information they gather comprises compound shapes that are formed by a combination of basic shapes. Shapes' names for kids enable them to identify the basic shapes in compound shapes.

Our little learners solved a worksheet “Match the square shape with its objects.” They enjoyed solving the worksheet by looking at different objects of square shape. This helped them to develop their observational, thinking and open-minded skills.

Colours help learners increase their attention levels on certain information, which helps such information to be transferred to short-term and long-term memories, thus increasing their chance of memorizing such information. We gave orange colour clay to learners and asked them to make any orange colour object with it. Giving clay to learners help them to develop their fine motor skills. Children love playing with clay and being creative in their way.

Strong number sense helps build a foundation for mathematical understanding. Focusing on number sense in the younger grades helps build the foundation necessary to compute and solve more complex problems in older grades. Building a love for math in your children begins with building an understanding of numbers. Our toddlers were introduced to number 3 with its value by using concrete objects and flashcards. Learning numbers help kids to develop their mathematical skills with their value and also develops thinking skills.

Imitating animal sounds is a lot of fun, and helps your child reach speech development milestones faster. Animal sounds represent a pretty monumental milestone when it comes to a child’s language development. Something so simple yet so profound. Not only are the sounds important for toddlers to replicate, But I think there is a cognitive development component as well to communicating when asked, “What does the dog, cat, etc say?” firstly the little one has to listen, to what you are asking a question, and respond with the correct animal sound. That’s a lot of processing! The pet animal's sound was introduced through video which our little learners enjoyed. All animals need food to stay alive and many spend most of their time looking for it. The animals which are kept in the house get their food from their family members such as dogs, cats, parrots, turtles, fish, etc. The dog loves to eat bone, the cat eats fish, the parrot eats guava, etc. The topic of pet animals and atheist food was introduced through videos and later the teacher explain them by showing flashcards. For better reinforcement game was played where learners had to roll the dice and tell the food of the animals that shows on the dice.

Sports and Yoga

Sports

Sport implies many positive attributes simultaneously. Along with health, it also shows stamina and fair play. Playing games or sports have a huge impact on the holistic development of a child. Whether indoor games or outdoor games they have a significant outcome on the mind of young learners.

One of the best things about running is its natural simplicity. Running doesn't need any kind of special tool. It's just you, your running shoes, and your best form. Asking the learners to keep their bodies relaxed when running could make them feel more comfortable, optimistic, and in control. These feelings could add fuel to their motivation, and make them feel better and achieve more.

The sports teacher conducted a running race where each learner was excited to give in their best performance. Their friends cheering through the thunder of claps helped them to be motivated in boosting their energy to run as fast as they could and reach the finished line. More than a race they enjoyed themselves by being an active part.

Yoga

Physical activity plays a key role in your child's development. As a result of the benefits of yoga, children can prevent injuries as well as improve performance for kids that participate in sports. Yoga increases your child's flexibility which improves range of motion and creates a balance in the muscles surrounding their tendons. Infusing yoga and other flexibility-type activities play an essential role in delivering physical education content and can be very popular with students.

The teacher conducted some physical activities that were personally challenging for learners in teaching self-control, self-discipline, flexibility, strength, balance, and focus, all while holding a pose or going through a sequence of postures.

Developing early literacy skills makes it easier for children to learn to read. Children who enter school with these skills have an advantage that carries with them throughout their school years. Writing of lowercase q and r was done in the red and blue line book, and the introduction of the lowercase letter ’s’ was done by using sand tracing techniques which help the learners in the development of fine motor skills and improves eye-hand coordination. Rhyming is an important step towards developing fluency in preschool students. When preschoolers learn about rhyming, they are exposed to how words can sound the same but be spelled differently. They can practice word recognition and even work on basic spelling with simple words. The teacher introduced the rhyme-Oval with actions in the class

Literacy Circle

The library is an important source of knowledge and provides learners with a healthy environment for learning. It gives access to a wide range of materials and helps develop reading habits in learners. During the literacy circle, the teacher read the story in Bob's bug and asked learners to repeat it after the teacher. The teacher also asked questions related to the picture, character, etc. which learners can observe in the storybook. This helped them to gain confidence as well as their vocabulary, phonemic awareness, knowledge of the alphabet, letter-sound correlation, and comprehension.

Math

Mathematics provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigor. In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies, and even music and art. Shape activities can help preschoolers develop problem-solving skills. Shape recognition can also help when putting together puzzles. The teacher introduced the shape oval with an activity. The teacher gave learners different sizes of oval shape cutouts to arrange and make a penguin with the same. The teacher took the recap of the concept Before Number with the help of a number line which made it much easier for the learners to understand what comes before a particular number. The teacher introduced the number 20 with the concept of grapes and made them write in their notebook as well.

Art

Art improves visual learning and memory: Through arts and crafts, a child not only learns about new shapes and colors but also becomes aware of different patterns and figures. The teacher made aware to children about 2d shapes like triangles, squares, circles, overlapping shapes, patterns, and the principle of shapes which gave learners open spaces for imaginative skills. The learner's imagination and ideas were drafted on paper and had a fun time during art.

Zumba

Zumba for kids is useful for better body coordination. Zumba gives exposure to culturally diverse music genres, higher self-esteem, and social opportunities within the community. In this session, learners had a gala time learning new steps on the count and also with the song. Learners tried their best to dance like the teacher. A Zumba battle game was played; the teacher divided the learners into two teams and showed them some unique steps which each team had to follow. The learners were thrilled and excited to play the Zumba battle game.

English

English Science, aviation, computing, diplomacy, and tourism all use English as their primary language. It has grown in importance as a communication tool recently. For our students, early language exposure is incredibly useful.

The pupils were required to write four-letter rhyming words that they had been introduced to in the previous lesson during this week's English class. A few dictation words were also given to the children for practice. The action words were also introduced to the students by the teacher. For our students, this week was filled with knowledge and learning, and they engaged in it with great passion.

English Literature

Our students benefit from reading because it sharpens their concentration, memory, empathy, and communication abilities. It can lessen stress and enhance mental health. They can discover new skills through reading that will help them excel at jobs and in their interpersonal interactions.

This week, during the reading session, our instructor engaged our students in an activity based on a word search called "word search bingo." The teacher wrote a few words from the story "Ant and the carrot" on the board. The words that were written on the board were circled by the students as they read. The teacher and students talked about the words they had discovered after the story. The lesson was very enjoyable for the kids and it was good for their reading skills.

Water is essential for our life, and there is no life without water on earth. The water cycle is an extremely important process because it enables the availability of water for all living organisms and regulates weather patterns on our planet. All animals and plants need water to survive, and the human body is more than three-fourths water. The teacher explained water as a colorless, odorless liquid that takes shape of the container in which it is kept. The teacher showed how water takes shape of a container in which it is kept through demonstration. The teacher explained the water cycle as the continuous movement of water as it makes a circuit from the oceans to the atmosphere to the Earth and the teacher. The teacher explained the sources of water along with the importance of the conservation of water. Learners did the activity of water cycle on a paper plate with cotton and crayons.

Horticulture

Horticulture develops new skills including Responsibility– from caring for plants. Understanding– as they learn about cause and effect (for example, plants die without water, weeds compete with plants). Self-confidence – from achieving their goals and enjoying the food they have grown. As outdoor activities go, horticulture is hard to beat for promoting well-rounded development in learners. Whether the garden is in pots on an apartment balcony, on a community patch, or right out the back door, kids who engage with it are harvesting a whole lot more than food and flowers. It encourages them to eat healthier. It improves focus & memory. It positively impacts mood & psychological wellbeing. It also provides engaging, moderate exercise. As we talk about eating healthy food and fruits learners this week learned about how to grow fruits. The teacher demonstrated the process of growing fruits by showing them the actual fruit, cutting the fruit, showing them the seeds, and also how to plant it. Learners were so very excited to observe and learn about growing their own fruits.

Music

We know how music has many benefits for the healthy development of a child from the earliest ages, but it can also help to create a connectedness to nature that will last their entire lives. It is often hard to express in words the emotions and feelings that being in nature evokes. Music helps express those feelings without words. Songs and music about the natural world help children to develop familiarity and empathy toward plants, animals, and elements in nature, encouraging them to spend more time outdoors. This develops a sense of harmony and rhythm with nature, and thus a more caring attitude towards it.

Achievements

Winners of Mastermind were announced, and learners were awarded for their achievements with medals, trophies, and certificates. Felicitations of hard work always make learners happy.

"Set your goals high and don't stop till you go there".
