Play therapy

Play therapy is a form of therapy used primarily for children. That’s because children may not be able to process their own emotions or articulate problems to parents or other adults. While it may look like an ordinary playtime, play therapy can be much more than that. Play therapy is a form of therapy primarily geared toward children. In this form of therapy, a therapist encourages a child to explore life events that may have an effect on current circumstances, in a manner and pace of the child's choosing, primarily through play but also through language. Children often use play to express themselves and navigate the world and play therapy takes advantage of this. The primary goal of play therapy is to help children who might struggle with expressing themselves or their emotions to express themselves through play. It helps children understand their emotions, especially if they had struggled with doing this before. It helps children build up their communication and social skills with time.

Play therapy is a method of therapy that uses play to uncover and deal with psychological issues. It can be used on its own, particularly with children, or along with other therapies and medications.

Classroom Connection

Building a strong relationship with the student is the most important job for a teacher. When the students come to school with a smile on their faces it means that they are connected with their teacher. Students expand their thoughts with their teacher when they are connected. Making connections is just a way of teaching the students how things are interrelated to each other. Author Ellen Galinsky explains that making connections actually involves developing an understanding of how things are connected.

Once the child understands the alphabet, it opens up an entire world of learning and literacy and the child can begin to read. Learning to read, write, and understand the alphabet helps children grow throughout their development. Learners were given additional practice to write letters on the red and blue loose sheet to help them know the proper sequence. Later to which letters A to Z was written in their English notebook by making them say and write letters in a proper sequence. It was really very great to see most of the learners writing letters A to Z confidently and independently for which they were rewarded with a star in their book, whereas the other learners who were not able to write in the correct formation were guided by the teacher.

It gives them the confidence to explore and develop an understanding of the world around them. Keeping this in mind teacher started the class with the oral counting of numbers 1- 9 and later wrote the numbers from 1 to 9 on the blackboard for better understanding and knowing the correct formation, later the teacher asked the learners to say and write numbers in a sequence in their Math square line book. The majority of the learners were able to write it with much confidence and produce neat work. There were few learners who needed the guidance of the teacher and were making an attempt to do so. This helped them to enhance their logical, visual, interpersonal, and intrapersonal skills.

A young body is under constant stress from growth and development, which can lead to tight muscles, varying levels of mobility, flexibility, and potential injuries – all of which can be addressed with proper warm-up and cool-down routines before starting with the game, the PE teacher had few warm-up exercises.

Playing with balls makes physical activity fun. The PE teacher played a simple game but it was really a fun-loving game of catching and throwing the ball, which was most enjoyed by the young learners. Throwing and catching ball activity is good for muscle development, hand-eye coordination, and fitness.
