Use the link above and your child's AR login information to access AR Home Connect.
Home Connect informational letters go home at the beginning of each school year which contain your child's login information.
Don't forget to set up email notifcations for when your student takes an AR test.
All students in grades 3-8 will have access to individual Destiny accounts by using their same login credentials as Accelerated Reader. As a result, students and parents can log in to their student accounts and view their library status regarding books currently checked out, books on hold, overdue books and more...
Junior High students are responsible to keep up with their account status. If books are overdue, they can be renewed online only twice. After that, the book will remain overdue and need to brought to the library ASAP. As a consequence, Junior High students with overdue books at the end of each quarter will be sent to the Disciplinarian and have their behavior card signed. The library will send notices 2 weeks before the end of each quarter, but it is primarily the responsibility of the student to have a clear account in the library at all times.
Some of the books in the Fiction and Young Adult sections of the OLF library have themes, situations, and language presented that may be of “mature” nature depending on the age level of our students. Students in 2nd-4th grade may be required to get parent permission on some FIC books with an MG Accelerated Reader Level. Students in 2nd-5th grade will be required to get parent permission before checking out any YA FIC books.
I encourage you to interact with your child and discuss with them the novel that they are interested in checking out. If you are unsure of the book content, consult www.commonsensemedia.org to find out summaries, reviews, and parental ratings. I respect all parental decisions and will allow the student to check out the novel once this form is printed, signed and returned to the library.
