All Christians must respond to the call to keep the Gospel alive and to preserve Jesus’ message. The commitment of our young people as the future of the church and their active role in ministry will allow Jesus’ words to prevail for generations to come. It is our baptismal call to serve others. As Disciples for Christ, students make the Gospel come alive for others while also coming to know Jesus’ message in a new and exciting way. The skills they learn and the perspective they receive will be an important step in their growth as young Christian men and women.

Rooted in the Corporal Works of Mercy, students will be given the opportunity to respond to their baptismal call of service allowing them to be witnesses to Jesus’ Gospel message and enabling them to embody virtues through daily discipleship. This class provides leadership formation, which prepares the student to effectively lead others in the tradition of Jesus Christ. Students are encouraged to develop and use personal skills, talents and knowledge. Leadership is demonstrated through liturgies, prayer services, retreat experiences, service activities and example. Through spiritual reflection and guidance, Disciples for Christ can unite the entire school into what all of us are called to be, the Body of Christ.
