Development of the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan

The Old Saybrook School District utilizes a strategic planning process as a preparation and decision-making strategy to ensure that our students are ready to meet the diverse demands of a changing world.

The development and implementation of a Strategic Plan serves as a primary guide for determining which programs and services will be retained, added or revised.

Guiding Coalition

The Old Saybrook Guiding Coalition was formed, in partnership with the Connecticut Center for School Change, in October 2020 as the group responsible for collecting and reviewing the thoughts, opinions, and ideas collected at various stakeholder meetings and through surveys to form the goals and action steps that would become the 2021-2026 strategic plan. The Guiding Coalition was made up Board of Education Members, administrators, teachers, paraeducators, parents, and students.
