Coordinate field trips for each grade level
Sponsor performers, writers and illustrators at school assemblies or in class. Recent guests include Backtrack Vocals, New Bedford Ballet, The Energized Guyz, S.T.E.A.M. the Streets by Big Picture Anthems, and Magic by Scott Jameson.
Provide all grade levels with allowances to arrange for presentations which supplement their curriculum. Past presentations include Eyes on Owls, Zoo New England, Gerwick Puppets, Wampanoag visitor, Mad Science, Boston Museum of Science, and Camp Burgess YMCA in Sandwich, MA.

VASE is also instrumental in supplementing the Sippican School library staff with volunteers and distributing free books to all students as part of the Reading Is Fundamental (R.I.F.) program. In addition, VASE sponsors the annual school Reading Challenge and donates gift certificates that each participating child may win via drawing.
