Ben Gerard displayed hard work throughout the 2023 football 10u (9-10 year old) season. Sippican Scoop reporters interviewed Ben to get his thoughts about the final game of the season. He felt very good about how he played in the game. All his teammates were amazing, but he says he thinks next year his offensive line can improve.
Ben really stood out during a game against the Seekonk Warriors. He cautiously entered the end zone and he got his first touchdown of the season! Ben thought he was going to get intercepted because he caught it in the other person's hands. He felt accomplished about getting his first MVP with 2 receptions (catches). According to Ben's teammate Brantley Dubois, Brantely says “he had the best game of his season against Seekonk.” Brantley also thinks that Ben used a lot of teamwork throughout the game and enjoyed being on his team.
Although the season is over we are excited to see what Ben does next year with the ORR Bulldogs.
