Standards-Based Grading

This course will be graded using a standards-based grading system. The elementary schools and ORR school district adopted the following grade scale, which we will also be using.

Standards-Based Grading Scale

N = Not Demonstrating

Student is not yet demonstrating understanding and proficiency of grade level standards and requires considerable support and direction.

E = Emerging

Student is emerging toward the understanding and proficiency of grade level standards. Skill acquisition requires additional time and support.

P = Progressing

Student is progressing toward consistent and independent in-depth understanding and proficiency of grade level standards.

M = Mastery

Student consistently and independently demonstrates in-depth understanding and proficiency of grade level standards.
