Field Trips to Old McDonald's Farm
Now scheduling! Spring & Fall Field Trips!
Have fun while learning about agriculture!
Field Trips can be tailored for groups from PreK to college age!
What's Included in a typical K-2 field trip:
A typical field trip is 3-3.5 hours. The earliest we welcome groups is 9:30 am.
Visit and interact with over 200 farm animals: goats, horses, reindeer, chickens, rabbits, pigs, camel, sheep, llama & alpacas and more!
The all-new Ag-Mazing Storybook Hayride (with stops to feed the cows and pigs)!
The Mini-Moo Express (tour to North Harbor Dairy calf barns)
Barnyard Fun Activities: Bounce Pad, Gravity Wagon Basketball, Mini- Golf and other farm toys
Time for lunch (bring your own or purchase from our cafe)
Additional activities for additional $: The Super Mega Ride n' Slide (must be 42" tall), goat food, gift shop, ice cream.
Fall only - Corn Maze also included and students/ children take home a pumpkin.
Our gorgeous "Secret Garden" will also bloom until the first frost.
Cost:
Spring 2025: $11/ person (students, parents, siblings, chaperones aides)
1 free teacher with every 10 students
Fall 2024: $12 student, sibling (includes small pumpkin)

We accept: cash*, school check, credit card , COSER, or purchase order
*please have cash counted out and ready to hand-in upon arrival!

Super Mega Ride n' Slide $5 student, 30 minutes
Feed the Goats! $1.25/ cup w/ credit/debit, $1/ cup cash
Shop in our gift shop! Prices range from about $6 to $35, with the average item around $12-$15
Schedule time for an ice cream treat! We make our own ice cream here on the farm! $3.25/ scoop

What would a field trip look like for older students?
We have an amazing education coordinator here on our farm who can tailor a field trip for any age!
Older elementary students enjoy (while still learning!) interaction with the animals, hayride, tour of the calf barns, and a scavenger hunt! (Plus the corn maze in the fall!)
Our dairy and crop teams are also happy to work with Old McDonald's Farm to put together a learning experience for high school and FFA groups that combines more advanced math, science and technology concepts. (Cost TBD by experience)
