We are a Community Radio station that targets the many varied communities that live and work in the Oldham Metropolitan Borough area.
Commercial activity is just one part of Community Radios income, by law we must have a mixed funding model. This provides an advantage to our advertising clients who’s messages will stand out as one of a select few commercial messages broadcast per hour.

Coverage Area

Our FM signal covers the majority of Oldham Borough area (excluding parts of Saddleworth Valleys due to the terrain) as well as providing a good signal into adjoining areas including Ashton, East Manchester, Middleton.

Listener figures

Oldham Community Radio carries out regular research to estimate audience numbers. The last survey we carried out showed that 18,250 to 22,250 people per week tuned into Oldham Community Radio 99.7fm. Share of listening of 10% within the Oldham Borough area, around 40% of this audience is over 55 years old.

Our most straightforward offer, three announcements per hour, in the following format

“This hour is sponsored by <<Your Business>>,” followed by a one sentence strap-line, description or location.
