Here we are ending week 14 of the school term and nearly at the end of 2024. We have one more week to go and what an exciting one it is going to be. Children are still busy doing their planned learning and in between fitting in a Christmas concert practice or performance! Don't forget we break up for the Christmas break on Friday 20th December and return to school on Monday 6th January 2025.
Christmas Concerts
Our Christmas concerts started this week and we couldn't be more proud of our children standing up on the big stage in front of parents, carers and grandparents. Nursery kicked off the performances on Monday with their nativity on The First Christmas. There were beautiful singing voices and nursery children set the bar high for all the older year groups! To date, Nursery, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 have all performed 2 concerts and next week, we look forward to seeing Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 perform. Children and staff have put so much work into the Christmas performance we hope that you enjoy the concerts.
Tickets are £1 per person. The PTA are also selling raffle tickets on the door.
We are so grateful to members of the PTA and their volunteers for providing tea, coffee and festive treats for every concert. The raffle ticket sales are going well, and we are grateful to everyone who has donated an item to allow us to create lovely hampers.
Christmas Dinner Day
Thank you to our amazing catering team and lunchtime supervisors who served over 320 Christmas dinners to our children today! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Rewards Day
Our house captains have been busy counting the house tokens for this term. We can't wait to share the total number of tokens with children and parents. We will announce the results next Friday, and children will participate in the rewards chosen by the junior leaders on Friday, December 20th.
School Choir Event
Our school choir will perform in the Cor Bro Ogwr Christmas concert at All Saints Church in Porthcawl on Saturday night. We know they will sound amazing and do the school proud. Good luck, everyone.
