We depend on volunteers like you, in order for BW Family Council events to be successful.

Fun Run

(school day event in the fall)

All students get to participate in running laps around the school with their grade level. Fun Run is our biggest fundraiser of the year. As the school meets fundraising milestones, students earn school-wide rewards.

Yearbook

(Photos are due each year by March 31)

The Bennett Woods yearbook needs your photos! If you have photos from any school-sponsored events or field trips from the current school year, please share them. All photos can be sent to bwfcyearbook@gmail.com.

Multicultural Night

(evening event in November)

Multicultural Night is a time to celebrate our diverse community! We ask for student presentations and/or dances to represent respective cultures. A committee of volunteers meet weekly to assist with planning the event.

Science Night

(evening event in March)

Get ready to unleash your curiosity and excitement with Science Night at Bennett Woods. We invite all students, families, and teachers to come together for a night full of mind-blowing experiments, fascinating demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Whether you're exploring the wonders of space, diving into chemical reactions, or building cool engineering projects, there’s something for everyone to discover.

Mileage Club

(lunchtime event April-May)

Mileage Club® is an opportunity for children in grades Kindergarten to 4th grade to participate in noncompetitive physical activity. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week, students are invited to run/walk on school grounds during lunch recess.

In order for Mileage Club to be successful, we depend on parent/caregiver volunteers.

Annual Field Day

(school day event at the end of May)

Parent volunteers will run each station by explaining and facilitating the games for the classes rotating through stations. There are some water stations we suggest students wear shoes that they can run in but do not mind getting wet.

Morning: Kindergarten and 1st Grade Field Day activities will take place from 9:30- 11:20. Volunteers will be needed from 9:00-11:30.

Afternoon: 2nd, 3rd & 4th Grade Field Day activities will take place from 1:30-3:30. Volunteers will be needed from 1:00-3:45.

You can sign up to volunteer in either the morning or afternoon, or you can sign up for BOTH. We need a lot of volunteers and really appreciate your help!
