Pacing Guides for Grades K-12
Over the summer, our curriculum teams have developed comprehensive pacing guides for priority standards in all core subjects an grade levels. We aim for this resource to become the primary and essential guide for planning high-quality instruction. (Examples to the right.)
Pacing guides can be found on the core curricular pages they are associated with.

This is not just a calendar - it is a comprehensive and strategic approach to student assessment in OKCPS. Throughout the learning process, a variety of assessments are utilized to measure teaching and learning and to guide instructional decisions. Selected screeners, formative, and summative assessments provide the data needed to identify student progress and to determine which supports are needed to help students grow academically, whether they’re working on, above, or below grade level.
The goals of the OKCPS Assessment Strategy are to:
provide administrators and teachers with the data required to identify student progress and effective instructional practices
ensure alignment between classroom instruction and the District curriculum
provide detailed information about required District and State assessments, as well as the platforms used to administer these assessments.
provide strategies, tools, and resources for using assessment data
