Cari Wilburn currently serves as the Director of Finance at Metro Technology Centers and previously served as the organization’s Payroll Manager, bringing extensive experience in payroll, finance, human resources, and organizational leadership across multiple industries. She began her career in private industry before transitioning to education, where she has spent the past 15 years serving both K-12 school districts and Oklahoma Career Tech. Throughout her career, she has developed comprehensive expertise in payroll administration, payroll compliance, financial management, internal controls, and operational excellence. Cari holds a Bachelor of Science and Ethics from Mid-America Christian University and will complete her MBA at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in November 2026. She is a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), combining technical expertise with a passion for helping organizations build efficient, compliant payroll and business operations. A leader in the school business profession, Cari has served on multiple OKASBO committees and currently serves on the Professional Development Committee. She was honored as the 2025 recipient of the OKASBO Jack Harrel Scholarship in recognition of her commitment to professional growth and service to the profession. Known for her practical, engaging presentation style, Cari delivers training that transforms complex payroll and finance topics into clear, actionable strategies.
