I strongly recommend you print the Addition Timed Test and have your child learn his/her math facts; fluency and accuracy is the goal! I give the Addition Timed Test twice a week, students have 5 minutes to master 100 math facts.
Once students master their addition facts, they move on to subtraction and so on. Students in 2nd grade must master their math facts to have success learning 2nd grade mathematical concepts.
We started Module 3 September 11th. If your child is struggling in math, I strongly recommend you review the math lessons with your child. I guide the lesson and students are supposed to put their lesson in their homework folder every day! The link is a wonderful resource for parents!
The math link includes videos that parents can view to review to help students reinforce concepts learned in the classroom.
Our Mid-Module Assessment (MMA)
Our mid-module assessment for Module 3 will be Wednesday, September 26th. Make sure your child studies the practice mid-module assessment we reviewed in class. Your child should study the concepts used to solve the problems!
