Hi everyone! It is an amazing opportunity to be your band director. This is my 21st year in education. I started my career in the Pottstown School District as the elementary band director for 2 years, and then the middle school band director for 8 years. I then went to Pottsgrove School District as the middle school band director for 9 years.
A few things that you need to know about me:
Character above all else.
How we treat each other and represent our school matters far more than any reward. Being dependable, honest, and accountable comes first, both on and off the field.
Band needs to be fun.
Making music should be an enjoyable experience that creates lasting memories and friendships. We work hard, but we never lose sight of the joy and passion that brought us to music in the first place.
You will be challenged.
Growth happens outside of your comfort zone, and we hold every member to high standards. Expect to stretch your skills, push your limits, and discover what you are truly capable of achieving.
Hard work always beats talent.
Natural ability only takes you so far; consistent effort, practice, and dedication are what build real success. Showing up ready to work every day will always yield better results than relying on talent alone.
Respect and kindness. Always.
Our band room is a welcoming community built on mutual trust, empathy, and support. We treat every member, director, parent, and friend with absolute dignity—no exceptions.
