What to Bring on the First Day of School... and EVERYDAY!
There are a few things to bring on the first day of school.
You will want to bring a little snack, not just on the first day, but every day. It will be a nice little “pick-me-up” during our morning. Just remember to make it healthy and tidy. We are a NUT FREE Classroom! You will also want a reusable water bottle with your name clearly marked on it; the bottle filler is available down the hall to refill as needed.
Don’t forget your lunch! We have a fun morning before we eat. If it is a lunch from home, make sure your name is on it so we know whose is whose. If you would like lunch from the cafeteria, be sure to deposit money into your SchoolPay account. Additional funds are also necessary if you would like snack items or ice cream during lunch. It is helpful to have a water bottle in your lunchbox AND a water bottle for the classroom. It is harder to remember to bring it than you think!
You’ll also need a book bag large enough to fit your binder, lunch, and snack in every day. Be sure to have your name on it. Sometimes another student can have the same bag.
A picture of yourself for the bulletin board. We can learn names faster that way!
Sometime in the first week of school, please send in your absolute favorite picture book. We will read some of these books every day. This is a fun way for us to get to know each other! (My personal favorite is The Monster at the End of this Book.)
