In this course, students will explore the fundamental concepts and techniques of both 2D and 3D animation. Through hands-on projects and demonstrations, they will learn key animation principles, industry-standard terminology, and the animation production pipeline. Topics covered include character design, storyboarding, timing, rigging, and the creation of fluid movement. Students will gain experience with popular animation software, and develop skills in creating both traditional 2D animations and 3D models and animations. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in animation, preparing them for more advanced studies or entry-level work in the field.
Course qualifies for Fine Arts and Career & Tech Credit.
