Leadership Workshop: Four OSA schools met at Gilead Christian High School in November for a Leadership Workshop that the Student Board planned and conducted, with assistance from advisers. Students learned how to identify their own leadership styles, and then--through an engaging race-- they explored using those styles to accomplish tasks as teams. They came away with a greater understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses and a better appreciation for the contributions that people with other strengths can make.

Students in the Carey affiliate serve their school and community throughout the year by mentoring and tutoring junior high students, raking leaves and shoveling snow for the elderly, recycling, assisting Purple Star families, baking cookies and writing thank-you notes during Teacher Appreciation Week, and participating in the Be the I in Kind project.
Centerburg students decorate the village Christmas tree each year. They also assist with local American Red Cross blood drives, help senior citizens with their electronic devices, plan and host the high school Honor Roll field trip, and provide a breakfast for teachers and staff members during Teacher Appreciation Week.
After taking a day to purchase gifts, Gilead Christian School middle and high schoolers, directed by OSA students, filled several carloads of shoe boxes to be donated to Operation Christmas Child. These are sent to children in need throughout the world.
Gilead Christian students ran an Indiana Jones themed escape room at the Gilead Christian School Fall Festival. Fall Fest is open to the public, and many children had fun trying to figure out puzzles and clues.
