What is a bell kit anyway?
An Orchestra Bell Set, or Glockenspiel, is a 25-30 note mallet instrument, made of metal bars with a very high-pitched sound, mounted on a wooden or plastic frame. The Orchestra Bells are played with soft plastic or rubber mallets.
The bell kit you get from a local music store should include a bag, stand, sticks, mallets, and a drum pad.
