The Extended Day Program is a school run program for students to be able to stay after school dismissal and be in a supervised group of their peers where they can do homework, play, socialize and have fun all in the safe environment of Orange Grove.

Registration for the Extended Day program opens every April to the families enrolled in the program and then registration is open to all families of Orange Grove on a first come basis. If a class fills up then you are always welcome to register your child for the waitlist as many families are moved up into the program from the waitlist through out the year.

Extended Day registration for CD and Kindergarten students will begin on July 17th at 10 am.

The Extended Day Program at the elementary school accepts students from CD-5th grade. Every day we offer one snack per student for our designated snack time (2:30p-3p). From there our CD-K students either go outside or do centers in their rooms. Our 1st-5th grade students do their homework and can be assisted by the counselors in their room if they ask. We give students 30-45 min to do their homework and then they go outside to the playground to have fun!
Extended Day students can be picked up beginning at 3p everyday and parents have until 6p for pick up. Pick up and sign out is in the front office where parents will sign students out and an ext. day staff member will call for them.
Payments and pricing are based on enrollment and not attendance. All charges are based on the number of days that a student is enrolled in the program and not the number of days that they attend.
When enrolling you are required to select your child's days of attendance and those are the days in which your child is able to attend the program. Due to attendance numbers and accommodation possibilities, we have to be very cautious of the number of students attending every day.
