The Extended Day Program at the elementary school serves students from CD through 5th grade. Each afternoon, students receive one snack during our designated snack time (2:30–3:00 p.m.). Afterward, CD, Kindergarten, and 1st‑grade students either play outside or participate in centers in their classrooms. For 2nd‑grade students, homework time is optional while students in 3rd–5th grade begin homework time, with counselors available to assist upon request. We provide 30 minutes to one hour for homework, after which students head outside to enjoy the playground.
Pick‑up begins at 3:00 p.m. each day, and families have until 6:00 p.m. to pick up their child. All pick‑ups and sign‑outs take place in the front office, where parents sign out their child and an Extended Day staff member calls for them.
Program payments and pricing are based on enrollment rather than attendance. Charges reflect the number of days a student is enrolled, not the number of days they attend. When registering, families must select their child’s specific days of attendance; those are the only days the child may participate. Because of enrollment limits and staffing considerations, we must carefully manage the number of students attending each day.
