Kindergarten
This year in kindergarten students will discover that computers and the internet enable us to connect with other places, information, and ideas.
Students will be spending time on Starfall.com and using Sammy's Science House and Trudy's Time and Place House.
1st Grade
This year in 1st grade students will demonstrate how to log in and log out from a connected computing device. They will also use appropriate terminology in naming and identifying software.
Students will be spending time on Starfall.com and using Microsoft Word.
2nd Grade
This year in second grade students will be practicing keyboarding skills using Typing Quest. Students have the ability to access Typing Quest from home. Click on the link below.
3rd Grade
This year in third grade students will be practicing keyboarding skills using Typing Quest. Students have the ability to access Typing Quest from home. Click on the link below.
Students will also be working in Google Docs typing short stories using fun 3rd grade writing prompts.
4th Grade
This year in 4th grade students will demonstrate proper keyboarding technique when keying letters, numbers and symbols at a rate of 10 words per minute and use software capabilities to correct errors.
Students will explore application software in both Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
5th Grade
This year in 5th grade students will demonstrate proper keyboarding technique when keying letters, numbers, and symbols at a rate of 15 words per minute and use software capabilities to correct errors.
Students will explore application software in both Microsoft Office and Google Applications. They will create various documents using a word processing program with various page elements. Students will demonstrate responsibility when using connected computing devices.
