This is my 11th year teaching at OFES and I'm so excited for the new school year!
My philosophy in education comes down to inspiration- All students can learn and want to learn. It's my job to meet them where they are and move them forward.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with family and friends, traveling, doing crafts, or enjoying the outdoors!

This is my 20th year teaching here at OFE, and the little ones have my heart!
I believe that children innately love learning! As a teacher of young children, I know that teaching means more than lessons and standards. I am responsible for creating an environment of support that allows my students to develop their own ideas, make choices, take risks, express their feelings, and most of all, grow to be strong, thinking individuals. These skills will help each child do well not only in school, but also in life!
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy working at the Osseo Family Restaurant. As a waitress, I have the opportunity to interact with families in our community. My parents owned a restaurant, so this brings back memories working at our family restaurant. I also enjoy traveling back home to the UP to spend time with family and life-long friends.

This is my 25th year of teaching and I can't wait to learn about all our 4k students and their families!
My philosophy in education is closely related to Responsive Classroom where we strive to build community and belonging for each child. Building relationships only enhances all learning that will take place in our classrooms.
When I'm not at school I enjoy watching my four children participate in various school activities, as well as cooking and escaping up North.
