Members of this research program, Suzuna Mikurino, Project Researcher, and Enggar Yustisi Arini, Project Researcher, participated in the International Community of Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development (SPSD) Conference held at Hankyong National University, South Korea, and presented research outcomes supported by this program.
Suzuna Mikurino presented a paper entitled:
“A Study on the Potential of Working for Small Businesses in Rural Areas: A Case of a Company Located in a Vacant Public Facility in Minamiboso City on the Edge of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area.”
The presentation examined the potential of employment in small businesses in rural areas through a case study of a company located in a vacant public facility in Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture.
Enggar Yustisi Arini presented a paper entitled:
“Collaborative Governance for Urban Safety: Institutional Mechanisms in Jakarta’s Flood Risk Management.”
This presentation focused on the institutional mechanisms of multi-stakeholder collaboration in urban flood risk management, using Jakarta, Indonesia—one of Southeast Asia’s most flood-prone cities—as a case study.
