Our teachers are dedicated to creating engaging lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence. By focusing on essential skills and tracking progress, we ensure every student continues to grow and succeed.🚀 Readiness for the Future
We’re preparing students for what’s next—helping them build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to take on new challenges and reach their full potential.

Fifth Grade Schedule Update for the 2026-2027 School Year
Beginning next school year, OFIS will introduce a new fifth-grade schedule designed to better support student learning and prepare students for middle school.
Fifth grade will move from four teaching teams to two teams of five teachers each. Students will rotate between teachers for Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies, similar to a middle school schedule.
This updated structure will:
Support the addition of an Advanced Math class
Provide balanced class sizes and learning groups
Allow students to interact with a wider variety of peers
Help students build organization and independence skills before middle school
Students will change classes three to four times each day in a structured and supportive environment.
Fifth Grade Teams
Blue Team: Caso, Judson, Vormelker, Atkins, Schafer
Gold Team: Raines, Moore, Pojman, Jenkins, Holzworth
Students on each team will work with several teachers throughout the day, but not necessarily every teacher on the team.
Teacher Requests
We understand parents may have preferences regarding classroom placement. Families are welcome to share information about their child that may assist us in making the best educational match. Please note that specific teacher requests are discouraged, as many factors are considered when creating balanced classrooms, and requests cannot be guaranteed.
