The OFHS writing center aims to strengthen students' writing abilities while also establishing positive relationships between writers and coaches. We are here to improve a students’ writing skills, however we are not editors. Therefore we focus on the content of papers and ideas rather than grammatical errors. We believe that writers are in control of their papers, and the coaches are there to enhance it. To achieve this, we create a positive, judgement-free environment where students are encouraged to share their writing in order to gain confidence with their writing abilities. It is important to us that we create a trusting relationship between writers and coaches by being open-minded when giving feedback. The writing center is here to support you with all of your writing needs.
